March Mood Board

March is one of my favorite months. Not only because it is my birthday month, but because it is the beginning of spring. We are starting to look at winter in the rearview mirror (hopefully) and I begin dreaming of what I will be planting in my garden.

The greens of new growth, the bright clear sky, the joy and happiness as we start to shed winter coats and opt for lighter layers. All these were inspiration for this month’s mood board.

I already had this inkling for March when I went to QuiltCon a couple weeks ago, but one quilt by Nikki Woolsey encompassed all the feelings I had for this month’s board in one stunning work of art.

This month’s board has all the puffed up anticipation for another year circling the sun, my favorite color combination of navy and chartreuse, and the intermixed finishes of gloss and matte creating depth and interest.
