September Mood Board

September brings change. School starts, you can’t escape all things pumpkin spice, and even though it doesn’t feel like it weather wise yet, sweater weather is on its way.

It is an interesting month. It feels like there is one foot in the past and the other in the future. We bask in the still blooming flowers, but we are drinking apple cider at Farmers Markets and planning our fall porch decorations.

I’m not completely ready to give up shorts and tank tops…but I can’t say I wouldn’t be heartbroken for a cool rainy day in a cozy sweatshirt and leggings.

This month I was almost solely inspired by the color orange.

We saw these beautiful flowers on the trip and they filled me with ideas of an end of summer, gentle transition into fall, feeling. Fall textures and colors, but still with a not-letting-go-of-summer feel.

September’s mood board is a transition time. Embracing those shifts in schedules, seasons, creative energy and not letting them slow us down - but inspire us.

What changes are you feeling this month? Where can you implement and use the changes in the weather and life as a driver in your style and creativity?

Send me a note a tell me how the seasons are affecting your creativity.

Ciao!
