June Mood Board
Some things just happen, no matter how hard we try to stop them. Like me going full classic preppy Cape Cod style every summer.
There is just something about summer that pulls me to khakis, white button downs and navy blue stripes. Maybe it was growing up flipping through the J.Crew catalog and experiencing the full Martha Stewart era.
The crispness of summer, the pure colors, the sunny days, the fresher food choices. I instantly reset to all things classic. Which is quite possibly the creative path I need after the colorful mixture of last month’s mood board.
This month I am using the inspiration of classic colors, lines, and summer memories in my creative projects.
The clean feel of water, air and sand brings about a mental clarity that allows for creative exploration - nature’s blank slate of ideas ready to be combed through and treasures to be found.
I hope June’s mood board brings you inspiration to find something new in the known, but also reset a bit if needed. Sometimes we overthink our creative process and need to be reminded that classic works for a reason.
Look closer this month at what you already know. What should you keep in your creative process? How can you reset where you are creatively with simple changes?
Ciao!
