May Mood Board

Everything is both. The mixture of life has been heavily on my mind this month.

The mixture of the bright and the muted, the flowing and the structured.

I remember an episode of “What Not to Wear” on TLC, Stacy London referred to stripes, dots and animal prints as neutrals in fashion and I was like “WHATTTTTT.” My mind was blown. So much so that it sticks with me nearly 20 years later.

This month I am using the inspiration of mixed patterns to continue to push my creative lane wider by seeing how my ideas, my skills and passions all intermix.

The interplay of stripes, florals, plaids and patterns is fueling my creative energy. I see things that weren’t there before. Seeing possibilities that didn’t exist before. Growth in areas that I haven’t even started to tap into.
